All of our clients are welcome to visit the workshop. Upon entry, they may feel they have stepped back in time. All the machines are trusty and old; everything has a layer of dust on it, including me.
They will see pieces being constructed properly, methodically and slowly. It takes as long as it needs to be correct.

A few years ago, I realised that many English timbers were highly expensive, if available at all. At the same time, I discovered that, on most occasions, when small quantities of trees come down, they are used only as firewood.
Nationally, 30% of our imports are timber based products. All of this seemed quite wrong to me. So I set myself the task of finding a way of handling, milling and drying English trees, and of course learning all the methods of conversion.
